[After her previous talk with Gold Ship and Haruhi, Yayoi's taking fashion... a little more seriously now. So she's been trying to figure it out. What does she want to look like? What does she want her fashion to look like? How does she want to present herself to the world?

She likes her normal outfit. But it won't work going forward, with the weather getting warmer. What can she do? Should she just find the same thing? But...

She admired the punk fashion, before. It was what she liked wearing... To present an aura of intimidation. Look tough, then no one messes with you. But is that what she likes? Or was that just her protecting herself? What else could she possibly wear?

She finds herself pulling out and staring at a beautiful dress. Should she try it? Should she not? What kind of image does this project...?

If you know Yayoi, you'll be able to find her here, looking between the dress and another outfit- A studded leather coat. If she spots you, though, she'll look up with big, begging eyes. Give her advice?]

[Advice from Tsukasa? Is she really that desp--actually, this does kind of seem like it might be in her wheelhouse.]

Well, you don't have to wear them together. You can switch between different styles depending on the situation, or just how you feel that day.

[Why does she look so pleased with herself about it]

Right. But... I mean, which one would look right?

I think they'd both look good, but you'll never know until you try.

[emerald might not know yayoi especially well yet, but she does know her a little—well enough to picture her in both of those outfits and feel her jaw hang open just a little bit. just enough to be able to pass it off as she approaches.]

Can't pick? [who can resist those eyes?] I know I have a preference, but I don't know if looking like a cool punk all the time is what you're looking for. What's the motivation here?

Oh, hey.

[She brightens up, happy to see Emerald again!]

I... I dunno. I like punk fashion, but it's also... I mean, it was easy, since if something tore, that's what it's supposed to look like anyway. I've never tried any other kind?

[hallucinogem]

[emerald waves a little as a courtesy, but starts walking a little circle around yayoi and puts a hand to her chin as she thinks.]

So it's more function over form for you? I get it. I mean, look at me. But you're doing a different function here, right? There's not as much of a risk of stuff tearing or breaking, and we've got a lot of people who can help fix it if it does now. [she pauses and puts her hand on the dress.] Maybe you need a change?

Maybe...

[She looks at the dress, almost wistful.]

... Back in Tokyo, I never could afford this sort of stuff, you know? I always liked looking at it, but... I dunno. What if it looks bad on me?

[What if she isn't enough of a girl to wear the dress? What if she looks wrong? What if her little dream turns out to be impossible?]

[emerald takes a longer, more careful look at the dress, trying to capture its appearance in her head perfectly. once she's done studying it, she returns her attention to yayoi with a smirk.]

Damn, that sucks. I sure hope you don't have a friend who can show you what clothes look like on you without you having to try them on. Someone like that sounds like she'd be able to make this whole thing really convenient for you.

[ Chelsea has slipped up next to Yayoi before the latter can get to the stage of glancing around for her help. She's quiet enough to surprise her, potentially, depending on how well Yayoi is paying attention to her surroundings. ]

Ohh, I love red on black. It's so fierce.

Want to see how it would look on you, or on me?

[ Bit of an odd question, but judging from the glint in Chelsea's eye, it's meant to be. ]

Huh-?!

[Yayoi jumps. She's really good at keeping her awareness, but Chelsea still snuck up on her.... She has to take a moment to calm herself. For a second, she was poised to take a swing- An attack. She was a cornered beast for just an instant...

And then back to normal.]

I like red and black. They're strong colors... Anyway, why you? Did you want it too?

[ Chelsea hardly flinches in response. Meaning she was ready to take the hit as retribution for her sneaking, or she was pretty sure that Yayoi wasn't actually going to swing. ]

Great minds think alike.

[ She giggles. ]

Maybe I do? I'll give you first dibs, though. That's only fair.

[She's looking down at it again.]

... I don't know if it'd suit me, is the thing.

All March, Menthward, the Promenade | THE FORTUNE-TELLING ONE

[Yayoi's booth has been made a little prettier since last time. It's been painted, it looks more of a permanent installation. The sign at the top, "FORTUNES & DETECTIVE WORK - 2 CROWNS" has been repainted by hand. But now, a little bit of Bibliomancy has infused these words, imparting a sense of confidence.

That said, she wants to add in a disclaimer, but she couldn't figure out how...

Yayoi waits at her booth, once again. This time, she's wearing the dress from the above prompt, and seems really happy about it. She even has a nicer chair to sit in while she waits! With a cushion, even! Her whole setup has gotten a little fancier, but still fairly budget. Still, she's actually paying attention this time- It seems like she's getting a fair amount of business now.

... All for fortunes, of course.]

[ Artoria's never really gotten her fortune told before... well, unless you count a Mirror Clan faerie prophesizing that she would overthrow the queen. Still, that just makes her a bit skeptical of human fortune telling... ]

Ah, Yayoi...! Is that you? Uwah, that's such a pretty dress...

[God, that's still so weird to hear. You can see her flush a bit, but try to regain her composure at the compliment...]

U- Um, thanks... Yeah, it's me. I do fortune-telling here sometimes, to try to earn my living, and all.

Huh... how do you do it? I've had my future prophesied before, but I've never actually seen anybody do it up close...

[ Man, she kind of wishes she came in her own new outfit now... except she's still too embarrassed to wear it out in public, so... ]

It depends on what you want to know. I use my mirror, or a kokkuri board... But it's not like it's accurate or real, or anything. It's not the same thing as a real 'prophecy'.

March 15, Dawnfield Grounds

[Yayoi's been thinking about the past, a lot. What was it she liked before? What was the fun she had? She's too serious all the time... She needs to have fun again.

A basketball court is too much. But it wasn't hard to get the fields set up with soccer goals. She's gotten a ball- Not a proper patterned soccer ball, but still, a ball close enough- And she's been playing with it. Dressed in a simple normal short-sleeved top and shorts, she's kicking the ball up and down on her knees and feet, and then occasionally just kicking the ball into the goal.

... It's not fun on her own. She needs someone to play with.

She's kicking a ball back and forth aganist the pole of the goal. Do any dare challenge her?]

[ only a downright idiot would challenge someone as athletically gifted as yayoi to a game like this. unfortunately one idiot is in dumbass jail, so this one'll have to do.

haruhi spots yayoi bouncing the ball back and forth, then practicing against the goal before she pipes up. ]

Not bad. You play a lot of soccer before?

[ haruhi's own activewear, used while she's on the grounds would be a plain t-shirt and the closest thing to track pants she could find. not the most ideal, but it's been working for her. ]

[She stops, kicking the ball up to catch it!]

Not really. Back in PE, sometimes, when I was in middle school. I liked basketball better, but there's no court around here.

Hmm. I wouldn't have expected one to be here, but it'd probably be easy to get set up. We have a lot of athletic folks, it'd be nice.

I'm a bit more into baseball though. I've played a little soccer, just not enough to join a club.

Yeah, I never joined a club, either.

[She tosses the ball up, then kicks it lightly towards Haruhi!]

I was pretty good at a lot of sports when I got to play.
