The Sentiments of Lady Cheria 🎀 May/June Catch-All
Who: Cheria and anyone who wants to tag with my molasses ass —
When: Throughout May and June.
Where: MANY PLACES
What: With the Hearts Aflame Faire burning away some of the haze shrouding her heart, Lady Cheria finds herself pensive about the truths revealed within, and her mood certainly isn't helped by the humidity further weighing her down. However, when cases of Toux Rose begin to strike, there's no question that she's leaping in to lend aid — and that she might come down with a little Toux Rose of her own.
Anything Else: TWs/CWs will be tagged below if they come up, although on Cheria's part they'll be pretty mild. Additional prompts may come if I can think of them.
1 ❧ Nurse ❧ Clinic (Early to Mid-May)
[Given Cheria's volunteer shifts with Doctor Lavande, she learns pretty early about Toux Rose, and she swiftly passes the word along to fellow advisors when she gets the chance. After some initial guidance from Lavande, she begins handling some Toux Rose cases on her own to take some work off their hands. It's simple enough, after all — just a cold with some additional bits, and she's had to look after her share of that back in Ephinea.
But Cheria's got a secret weapon up her fancy sleeves to throw down with this sickness, and that's her own healing light. Obviously she can't completely cure Toux Rose, but her powers can provide faster (albeit temporary) relief of the respiratory symptoms. Word of an "angel" with miraculous healing hands quickly begins to spread among the locals...perhaps your character heard the rumors and came to see if they were true?
(Or maybe your character just stumbled in hacking up bleeding hearts on a day that Cheria's working. That's fine too.)]
2 ❧ Mother Hen ❧ Forget-Me-Not Barracks (Mid-May)
[Once cases pop up at the forget-me-not barracks, Cheria offers her healthcare services there as well, when she can manage between her work shifts (and later when she comes down with Toux Rose herself). She can lend some healing hands to a sore throat or congested chest, whip up some comfort food (both mundane and Infused) to get you through the worst, fetch medicines once those become more widely available...or even be a listening ear for the emotional honesty that will clear up the ick once and for all.]
3 ❧ Toux Kalanchoe ❧ Out and About (Late May)
[If ever there were a situation tailor-made for Cheria, it's the Toux Rose phenomenon — in more ways than one.
Her case hits so late in the month that she begins to believe — begins to hope! — that she's escaped being one of its victims. After all, she's been so good about going around masked. So surely...?
Alas. One day she's fine, and the next day she wakes up sweating in bed and feeling like someone wrung her out like she was part of their laundry load. The sniffles show themselves not long after, and then the payoff: she begins coughing up fiery orange kalanchoe blossoms. Flowers aside, it's unsettling how familiar the coughing and wheezing feels to her, even years after her childhood illness vanished for good. She hasn't been sick with anything in the past seven years. Not literally, anyway.
Unlike in her childhood, however, there's no one in Rosavelle with any authority to keep Cheria bedridden, at least not for long. While she isn't a complete hypocrite (she calls in sick to her work shifts and can be found in bed during the day), she still does what she can to help anyone at the barracks who needs it, and this sometimes necessitates running errands out in the kingdom. So in theory it's possible that she, for example, spilled food on your character because she doubled over in a particularly violent coughing fit...
Anyone in her vicinity is likely to catch memory flashes of an auburn-haired young man in white, with a gentle smile and an open expression. Usually his eyes are a deep ocean blue; a few show him with a violet left eye instead. The emotions associated with these memories vary quite widely at the surface level: joy here, frustration there, jealousy and peace and resentment and grief and relief and inspiration... But underneath it all, something as solid and warm and unyielding as the ground in the sun.]
4 ❧ Wildcard ❧ Anywhere, Anytime
[Ping me, ding me, if you wanna ring me (for a custom scenario)!
(Fun fact: Cheria's personal flowers, at least based on a certain set of merch designs, are red camellias.)]

Infusery Buddies ❧ Closed to Akane ❧ Royal Kitchens
So have you figured out anything else about Toux Rose besides what Doctor Lavande said?
Re: Infusery Buddies ❧ Closed to Akane ❧ Royal Kitchens
She hums. "Even more than that-- By separating the person from the emotion, you run the risk of ending up like Camila-- coughing up fifty billion kinds of petals with no idea what any of them mean."

Cheria wishes Hubert were here. He's not medically trained, at least not beyond what his military education and his own healing light have given him, but he'd probably still be able to come up with something good in that brainy head of his.

She hums, tilting her head this way and that.

which in this case is just catching cheria doubled over already. she avoided the spilled food, yay! on the other hand, a mess has been made, boo.
haruhi slinks on over. ]
It finally caught you, huh? [ she really shouldn't keep trying to take care of others when she's still recovering, but. ] Let's get you back to your room.

Easy enough if you're not weak with feverish fatigue, anyway.]
I know, just... Let me clean this up first...
[If it's nothing huge she doesn't want to leave it around for someone else to deal with. (...on the flip side, if it were big a mess she also wouldn't want to have someone else deal with that, so it's excuses either way.) So after shaking out the kalanchoe petals from her mask (joining a few that have already managed to flutter to the floor), she begins to cautiously make her way around on hands and knees to pluck up the fallen fruits.
Cheria's weariness emanates from her like the heat of her fever, but there's something else buried under the bodily symptoms, remnants of old emotions like weeds that weren't completely uprooted that, to a certain extent, drive her present-day restlessness. This is a girl who remembers not having the breath to take more than a few steps at a time, who once bore the knowledge that she might not ever grow up, and has been making up the lost time and then some since she was gifted the chance by Sophie's sacrifice. She knows better than to push too hard, and yet hates the thought that she might ever have to be trapped in her bed again as the world goes on without her, especially when there's others to help and look after. (No matter that this Toux Rose epidemic is far from critical.)]

I'll help. Here--
[ haruhi kneels herself, trying to gather and scoop up any fruits that she can. hoping to help at least a little, in this case. ]
1 ❧ Nurse ❧ Clinic (Early to Mid-May);
Curiosity ends up sparking nonetheless to find the source. Especially when he has a break in between his own busywork or simply put, other matters.
He doesn't often come to the Clinic, but takes a moment to watch Cheria - perhaps along the time she's finished up with one or two patients, and has no one else to attend to. ]
I see you've been hard at work.

[ Dainsleif hasn't forgotten, after all. ]
I had heard about some particular rumors surrounding the afflicted and their caretaking. I assume you are aware of them?
4/Wildcard - She's So Dumb, Your Honor
But. What had happened this time? Her body ached in almost every way it could ache, as well as a few she had previously thought impossible. Surely, no great battle had come to Rosavelle, no great villain here to seize it.
...she would be significantly annoyed if Gold Ship turned out to be involved. She'd done so well avoiding the woman outside professional context.
But, then... what? Her brow furrows, and she groans again, long and miserable. There had been something terribly wrong, someone who needed her. Something in the mists of fever and dream...
Akane needed her.
Adrenaline began to surge, she hauled herself upright-
There was a loud crash as she immediately toppled out of bed face-first.

"Are you all right?" she asks. "Take it easy, now. You're safe here." She kneels to try to help Camila back up. With Camila being quite bulkier than Cheria, however, this might be a little tricky if Camila's still out of it.

"where... where is akane. need to go to her. needs help."
