ARRIVAL 🌷 TULIP BARRACKS

[ kitty couldn't contain her excitement over just about everything since arriving in rosavelle even with how surreal this seems to her. it happened all too fast from agreeing to it to suddenly poof here she was, not that she was complaining but there is a part of her was dying to talk to sisters and brag a little bit about how she was chosen being the expert matchmaker that she is.

maybe they wouldn't believe her but that wasn't the point and either way, she was eager to get settled in and help with something that she knows best. from being told she was assigned to the tulip barracks for her stay though, she was already bracing herself while imagining a very military like living situation which surprises her because what seems so contrary to the vibe of this place.

it almost felt like the first day of school all over again for her, wondering about what her dorm would be like or what kind of roommates she would end up with. that sure had been a whole situation last semester and she shudders slightly at thought but she quickly shakes it off because when she steps foot into the courtyard, all her previous assumptions go out the window and she can't help squeal in excitement looking at the layout (sorry to anyone who happens to be nearby or overhear her from the other barracks oops)] Oh my god. Wow— this is super cute.

[if the inside looks as nice as the outside of the barracks, all she can think is this already way better than her dorm at KISS but her most pressing concern is who she is rooming with while quietly hoping they're all nice. she cautiously fishes out her key from her pocket and opens the door, slowly stepping inside while looking around] Hello?

[she continues to just ramble on to whoever happens to be have been here as she arrived] Hi— I'm new, just got here actually and apparently rooming here too? I got a key and everything so you know, totally not breaking in or anything.

[It just so happens that Yoojin is in the kitchen with his back to the door when Kitty arrives. When he turns away from the stove, he lights up with recognition.]

Oh, Kitty! You're staying with us? That's awesome! Welcome to Tulip!

[She probably hasn't had time to miss Korean food, has she? Well, that's what's on the menu today, apparently: a couple types of vegetable jeon and some attempts to recreate banchan with the ingredients available in Rosavelle.]

Just in case, I'm Han Yoojin. [Yoojin rarely presumes anyone will remember him, and today surely slammed her with more important information to retain than his name. He laughs and pokes at a piece of jeon with his spatula.] It'll be nice to have a sorta-compatriot around again!

Yoojin— hi! [there is immediate recognition as she relaxes a little seeing familiar face, which is to say that she definitely remembers him even if there was a whole lot of other information for her to process about being in rosavelle]

Wow, I am so glad to see a familiar face but yes, it looks like I'm officially staying here. [she easily smiles and heads closer into the kitchen to check out what he seems to be cooking up because it sure does smell really good] What are you making?

Oh, neat! Hi, welcome, welcome. I'm Simran. [ Simran is curled up on one of Tulip's common area couches. Her cane—a twenty-first century construction—leans just inside the door that Kitty's opened. ]

You can take any room without a nameplate, and there's a guy called Bulat who likes to do calligraphy of people's names when you do pick one. He'll learn your language's native script too, actually. He put his boyfriend's in Hangul and I don't think they even have Hangul where he's from. [ A frown. ] Do they have Hangul where you're from?

[ Bulat laughs from the common room where he's lifting up a sofa to sweep underneath it. ]

I think someone who was breaking in would be smoother about it.

[ Trust him, he's... well, okay, he's usually not breaking into places in ways that require social engineering... ]
