Training, throughout the season

[ Every day, early in the morning, Uther can be found at the Dawnfield grounds, using a staff to practice his spear techniques. His movements are smooth and precise as he works through his drills. Nothing intense, nothing flashy, just the same movements over and over. ]

Bibliomancy experimentation, early March

[ Uther's got a small collection of books and papers on a table near enough to the barracks area that he can wave down any passing advisors who don't seem to be in too much of a rush. ]

Would you assist me in a brief experiment?

[ Those who agree are handed a slip of paper on which is written a simple sentence: It is said that those who venture to the Dread Isle never return.

There are actually two copies of this note. One has been enchanted by Bibliomancy with feelings of trepidation and sorrow. The other, Uther tried to enchant with false feelings of happiness, but that's not how Bibliomancy works, so it has no effect at all. Which copy your character gets is up to you. ]
