open, jan 1-4, scouting the grounds
As such, her first couple of days are spent exploring the Castle Grounds. She can be found doing a couple things here:
-On the Dawnfield Grounds themselves, keeping her eyes on anyone who's doing any training and, on occasion, doing some light sprinting herself. No reason not to keep in shape if for whatever reason, she's gotta pick up a sword. She hasn't bothered to ask about any potential conflict, so she'll just keep an eye on things at the moment.
-In the Crownkeepers' Stables, looking over the horses. She doesn't get a chance that often to do anything with horses, so she can't help but get up close and give one or another a nice brushing.
-The Greenhouse, naturally. How can she not get a closer look at the Everbloom? On one hand she didn't know what she'd come across there, but being able to feel an unfamiliar tinge through her body made her that much more curious. The flowers were nice to look at themselves, but she couldn't keep herself away from looking up at the Everbloom.
It's just, finally dawning on her. She's in another world. She found something new and interesting. Haruhi was happy and all, but... ]
Wish the others could see all this.
[ They'd never believe her otherwise! ]

It's Gold Ship of course! She's caught by surprise to find someone she doesn't recognize in the stables, but she's able to keep a cool head! She adjusts her head gear, makes sure her hat's on straight, and picks a stray piece of hay out of her hair as she walks up from behind to introduce herself. ]
Oi, oi. Nobody told me we were gettin' visitors to the castle today. [ Gotta play it close, of course. No telling if this is a new "advisor" or just local who's visiting. ] If I'd known I woulda had the team clean up, make em selves presentable. M'disappointed in you guys, you're makin' Spica look bad!
[ She directs that at the horses at large, eyes sweeping over the stalls. A few even answer, a chorus of bellows and whinnies of protest. The horses are pretty used to her by now. Gold Ship sighs and shakes her head. ]
Ah well, what're ya gonna do... So! What's your story, stranger? Just come in off the ol' dusty trail?

horse ears?!
oho! of course! there had to be plenty of animal girls in a world like this! who better to take care of horses than a girl with horse ears?
haruhi waves and gives a salute. let's see, based on how she's talking-- ]
Howdy! [ great start. ] Just strolling along, getting a good look at everything. I'm here to help the princess, so getting to learn about the castle's task number one!

So instead she's chuckling, her tail starts up wagging too. ]
So you are an "advisor"! Kinda weird Calcal keeps gettin' em in, almost seems like new people are poppin' up at random.
[ Which is one of those things going in the bucket of; Ask Callie what the heck that's about.
Ah well, to the person at hand! Gold Ship grind and flashes up a peace sign in greeting. ]
I'm Gold Ship. Leader an' head trainer of Team Spica Isekai Division, Four Legged Corps. And this buncha hooved weirdos-[ She gestures grandly at the stable at large. ] -are the team! Hope they haven't been too rude to ya, newbie.

Could be! You can't really help when or where you're pulled into, I think. Maybe if you play the same video game for a while.
[ otome games are kinda boring tho, let her get sent into an MMO! surely nothing bad would happen. ]
Nope, they've all been nice to me so far. You run a dang fine team. I'm Haruhi Suzumiya! [ she thinks for a second, before-- ] Leader of the Kouyouen-North High Literature Club, Rosavelle Branch! I'm the only member so far, and the name'll probably change though.
[ she looks so proud of herself, as if she's actually impressing anybody with that. if only there was some kind of alternative name she knew of that she could use! ]

Literature Club, huh? Sounds like somethin' Rob Roy would be doing.
[ Cute little underclassman, that one, Gold Ship's about 60% sure she lives in the library though. Can't be healthy, that.
Never mind that Gold Ship is currently living in a stable, ANYWAY... ]
S'mean you're a writer, Haruhi? [ this horse will never use a honorific or last name unless she wants to Mess With Someone... ] Gonna maybe get some words ta paper while you're here, take Rosavelle by literary storm?

[ okay have you ever been running and somehow even though you probably could, stopping isn't really an option?
haruhi's been super fixed on seeing if she could beat her last time that she doesn't notice at all that she's running directly in the path of someone else moving along.
does she crash?! she's definitely going to stumble if she doesn't! ]

Yayoi's head snaps up, and as she's about to get hit, her reflexes take over. She reaches, grabs Haruhi, and is about to flip her over and slam her to the ground like an attacking enemy.
And then, as she's halfway through the movements, her brain catches up. This isn't an enemy. This girl tried to warn her. She needs to avoid hurting her. So, halfway through the flip, she tries to stop her movement, twisting to try to protect Haruhi from the flip she just started.
The practical effect of this is that Yayoi ends up on the ground first, having fallen but still trying to catch Haruhi from Yayoi's own mistakes. Oof.]

[ and it's all somehow too quick for haruhi to follow. was this a counter attack? wait, doesn't she have to attack first before she's countered?!
but she stops and suddenly she's being swung a bit, and now-- well, she still kind of lands roughly, but it's also kind of soft too?? it takes her a second...
oh! shoot, she rubs the back of her own head and sits up. ]
Whoa! You alright?!

What the hell was that? Why did you just try to kill me?
[ jumping to the worst conclusion?? ]

Why did you try to tackle me?!

[ huff! ]
But. Thanks for taking the blow. It'd be awkward to meet up with the Princess with a broken neck.

[. . .]
You haven't met the Princess yet?

[ why does she look so proud of herself for saying that. ]
Not since I got here. I haven’t had anything to report yet!

W-well, not like I have a war cry or anything... and I think more folks would just move anyway...
Dawnfield Grounds
Of course, anyone watching probably gets more than they expected when she follows up a quick series of strikes by turning her entire arm into a silvery, almost metallic-looking draconic claw arm which slices upwards, which also causes Corrin's dragon mask to form over her face, almost like it grows out of her in one smooth motion.
